IDEAS FOR MOTHERSDAY
November 07, 2018
Mother’s day. The one day of the year dedicate to all (versions of) mothers out there. Children give flowers and cards, make a mess in the kitchen and shower their mom in love and affection. But it is very important that you as her spouse get involved too. This day is a celebration and a perfect opportunity to set a good example for your children. Show them how to treat the ones they love.
MOTHER’S DAY PLAN 1
Let you wife sleep in and help the kids cook her favourite meal for breakfast, even if that is Braaivleis or her favourite dessert. After breakfast and presents (kids are allowed homemade gifts, you have to buy something shiny) draw her a nice bubble bath with candles, music and her favourite glossy magazine. While she is relaxing tidy up the house and get the kids ready for the day. Spend the rest of the day as a family having a picnic or seeing a movie. Just make sure your wife never lifts a finger and the smile never leaves her face.
Take the kids of her hands and book her into a spa for the whole morning. Make lunch plans for her and her friends and let her drink as much wine as she wants. Clean the house and get the kids ready for bed. After a great meal and presents, put the kids to bed. Cuddle up on the couch and tell her all the things you love about her.
MOTHER’S DAY PLAN 3
Plan 3 is about impressing her. I know there are things your wife have been begging you to do and Mother’s day is the perfect day to do it. Take that pottery class with or finally replace all the blown light bulbs. Like all moms she is going to find it difficult to let go and put her needs before that of her family. It is important to make the day about her; do her favourite things, eat her favourite food and make her feel special.
I listed three ideas that can be used together or apart. You can even mix and match. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you show the mother of your children you care and appreciate everything she does for the family.
“No matter what has happened. No matter what you’ve done. No matter what you will do. I will always love you.
I swear it.”
––Defiance by C.J. Redwine
“I wanted to tell you that wherever I am, whatever happens, I’ll always think of you, and the time we spent
together, as my happiest time. I’d do it all over again, if I had the choice. No regrets.”
––Boundless by Cynthia Hand
“And in her smile I see something more beautiful than the stars.”
––Across the Universe by Beth Revis
“It’s one thing to fall in love. It’s another to feel someone else fall in love with you, and to feel a
responsibility toward that love.”
––Every Day by David Levithan
“I love you the way a drowning man loves air. And it would destroy me to have you just a little.”
––The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson
“I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things.
I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable,
and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and
I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.”
––The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
“I never loved you any more than I do, right this second. And I’ll never love you any less than I do,
right this second.”
––Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia, Margaret Stohl
“Sometimes I can’t see myself when I’m with you. I can only just see you.”
––Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
“I am catastrophically in love with you.”
––Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
“I knew the second I met you that there was something about you I needed. Turns out it wasn’t
something about you at all. It was just you.”
––Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire
