DISCOVER THE UNEXPECTED AT FARR OUT IN PATERNOSTER
November 05, 2018
The West Coast of South Africa is a gloriously beautiful destination. Here visitors learn the true meaning of the word ‘hospitality’ and leave the noise and bustle of the city behind to enjoy a slower and more rewarding pace of life. There are a number of excellent accommodation venues along this gorgeous stretch of coastline, but few come close to Farr Out – an exceptional guesthouse in Paternoster that ticks all of our romantic getaway boxes.
is located at the outskirts of Paternoster, a picturesque village that is renowned for its pretty scenery and wonderful foodie scene. Marion Lubitz and Deon van Schalkwyk established the guesthouse in 2005 and have worked tirelessly ever since to ensure that their guests enjoy a tranquil experience in beautiful surroundings every step of the way. The guesthouse boasts four beautifully appointed private suites - Black Mussel, Oyster, Perlemoen and White Mussel - that have been individually decorated and features everything you need for a comfortable stay. This includes breakfast and free Wi-Fi, as well as daily room service (excluding Sundays and public holidays).
But that’s not all! The pair added some time back another accommodation option to the existing line-up – Wigwam Rising Moon! This glamping tepee is set in tranquil fynbos surroundings about 40 meters from the guesthouse, so it’s tailormade for honeymooners or couples who want to drink in the singular beauty of Paternoster’s natural heritage.
As for things to see and do in the vicinity, guests are spoiled for choice! Take a soak in the wood-fired hot tub on the premises; join Deon on an informative dune buggy ride along the coast, while he tells you more about the region, its people and their history; or simply kick of your shoes and stroll along the beautiful beach. The choice is yours!
