MESSAGE FROM THE COUPLE
"We were recently privileged enough to have met the bubbly and inimitable Leilani Kuter, the creator of and huge driving force behind, what we feel is an incredibly positive endeavour, Date Night SA.
We’d only heard of it a few times previously but were encouraged by her to take a look and see if it was something we’d like to be involved with and get behind.
And we have to say, that this is probably one of the best things that could happen to couples, whether dating, engaged or married, in recent years.
It’s a platform dedicated to encouraging couples to build and strengthening their relationships through either surprise dates, little adventures or romantic overtures whether small or grand.
We’re living in an age where 50% of all marriages end in divorce. It’s a scary figure, and often most problems in marriages and relationships, in general, is a breakdown in or lack of communication.
Couples also become complacent and lackadaisical in their relationships and stop trying to make things work, keep the passion alive, or simply let each other know how important their partner is to them.
Even as a working couple that run our own business and work together daily, we aren’t always able to make the time to just be a couple and give each other exclusive attention. We give a lot of our focus and attention to our clients, daily and prioritise our daughter and her needs over ourselves. It’s not to say that this is a bad thing but left unchecked, it can lead to the slow deterioration in the quality of a relationship.
And admittedly, it is something that occasionally catches us off guard and makes us realise that we need to take a time-out from the frenetic pace of our daily lives and focus on each other. And being able to see each other every day, we can only imagine how difficult it is for couples who work separate jobs and only see each other briefly in the mornings before work and shortly in the evenings before crashing from the exhaustion of working a full day, juggling a career and a family.
This is why we believe in Date Night SA as a great platform to showcase how relationships can be improved upon, strengthened or even as an example of the little things we all could do to help mend a troubled relationship, breathe new life and excitement into a stagnant one or further strengthen an already solid one.
"And we couldn’t be more excited to be involved in this incredible project." – Dean Mason & Crystal Mason.
